A study of international aid nonprofits

International development is one of the fastest growing parts of the U.S. nonprofit sector. Roughly 1,000 new international development organizations are launched every year.

We have been studying small and mid-sized international aid groups for over a decade, and we know that many want to build their capacity as development actors.  The goal of this study is to learn more about the current operations, existing capacity, and the challenges confronted by international aid nonprofits.

We are building on previous research on the Indiana Nonprofit Sector and the Civic Life of Cities to learn more about this critical part of the nonprofit sector. Our results will ensure that leaders in the nonprofit and international development fields have better data to support these organizations.

  • I added a heading at the top. This is "h2". Headings help Google know what is important on your site and should be in descending size (which is increasing #). They should not be used as a design element. You can have one "h2" then multiple "h3," "h4" etc.
  • For the survey link, I changed the wording for ADA so users have an idea what is going to happen.
  • A number of options on researcher presentations/photos. Keep/delete/swap as you desire. (To have the provided photos appear consistently, square is the default)
  • I put a placeholder for the video. Videos take up a lot of real estate, so I put it at the bottom.
  • Sites are mobile first--so check it on your phone.

Headline about video here

directions on captions for kaltura: https://kb.iu.edu/d/adhr This is the included video chunk which walks you through inserting a transcript. You can also choose the "insert video" option in a text block, but you will need to offer a clear link to a transcript that you would need to house elsewhere on the site.
